Platinum Games in general play similar to NieR mechanically, but they're typically not RPGs. Has some Zelda-like elements with backtracking with new abilities, climbing walls, solving puzzles, etc.ĭarksiders 1 lacks pretty much all of the RPG elements. Yeah Darksiders 2 has RPG skill trees and randomized loot dropping. You can look at those for action games with similar combat, but they tend to not have as much RPG gameplay (Darksiders II is probably the closest).
